One infrared thermal image records an instantaneous temperature at a certain time, however, the failure of the PCBA happens in milliseconds and it is impossible to be captured by a static thermal image. And for some cases, the post-failure thermal imaging heat map is similar to the normal heat map, which is hard for the engineers to make a conclusion. For these cases of PCBA testing, it is necessary to capture the dynamic process of the temperature changes in order to identify the cause of the problem.
The FOTRIC 220RD can be connected to a computer and turned into an online radiometric thermal imager with Fotric AnalyzIR. AnalyzIR is a professional analysis and recording software. It can record a fully radiometric thermal video stream. The radiometric video stores the temperature value of each pixel of any frame, which can be used to analyze the temperature change history plot of any part of interest, to help solve the key problem of PCBA board.
The FOTRIC 220RD can be used as a benchtop setup like a professional laboratory test instrument or fixed mounted to a tripod, releasing both hands for other things simultaneously.
